COUNTRY ROAD x She is Visual

A bedroom for me is the innermost sanctuary of a home.

It is often the space I choose to be still in and find serenity after a busy day.

As I have grown and my personal style evolved, I learned that a value that is essential to the things I often lean towards is a sense of comfort.

Comfort can be found in the way linen feels against your skin, or the calming effect of a muted colour palette - comfort is often found in different ways for different people.

In my home I strive to keeps things simple and timeless by focussing on setting high quality foundations with basic interior pieces or choices of colour and fabric.

A touch of colour will often find its way through smaller wares like a vase, a branch of blossoms or scatter cushion - while the basics remain neutral and classic in monochrome hues.

As Spring winks in the distance and blossoms starts whispering that a new season is coming - I found myself wanting to bring that same feeling inside.

Country Road’s new homeware collection encapsulates exactly that feeling of ‘Spring is on its way’ with its touches of dusty purple set against classic shapes and colours.

I have created a spring inspired bedroom and surroundings with pieces from the latest Country Road homeware selection by keeping the basics neutral and adding touches of dusty purple, quartz and various textures through knitwear and cushions.

As for a bedside table - I like mine uncluttered, yet with a sense of curation.
